Bring Payroll In-House

We can help you set up QuickBooks to do payroll in-house, as well as file your state and federal payroll returns electronically.

QuickBooks has several options for generating payroll.

Basic Payroll

A do-it-yourself option; QuickBooks updates your tax tables for generating payroll, but all form filing and tax payments are your responsibility.

Enhanced Payroll

Takes Basic Payroll one step further by allowing you to either print completed returns directly from the software to file by mail or electronically file forms and pay taxes directly through QuickBooks to satisfy both state and federal requirements.

Assisted Payroll

Goes all the way; you input basic information about hours and pay rates into your QuickBooks, download the data to Intuit (the makers of QuickBooks) and they do all the rest, taking care of making the tax deposits as well as filing all the appropriate forms in a timely manner. You simply upload the completed payroll and print the checks.

Additional information

Direct deposit is an added benefit you can offer your employees (for an additional fee) when using any of the above payroll options. There is also an Online Payroll option that can be securely accessed from any computer with an Internet connection. The Online Payroll interfaces seamlessly with your existing QuickBooks data, or can be used as a stand-alone payroll processing system (QuickBooks program not needed).
